To merge houses in Cookie Run Kingdom, first level up your houses to at least level 5. Next, tap and hold any one house and drop house over the other house.
Now, you get the blue merge arrow icon button option to merge both houses.
By tapping this button, you can merge and make one cookie mansion.
How to revert back merged houses from cookie mansion?
Yes, you can revert merge houses and split cookie mansion back into cookie houses.
To split the cookie mansion, tap and hold the cookie mansion. Now, you get the orange split arrow icon button option to split cookie mansion into houses.
By tapping this orange arrow icon button, you can revert back merged houses from cookie mansion.

Save kingdom area:
Two cookie houses and one cookie mansion, both produce the same amount of star jellies. But, one cookie mansion occupy less space compared to two cookie houses.
Save sugar gnomes:
To level up the cookie mansion, you need 1 sugar gnome. And, to level up two cookie houses, you need 2 sugar gnomes. It means, by merging houses, you save 1 sugar gnome.
